Our Premium Thunderbird Arizona Canopies are exactly that, Premium! We know that there are many options when it comes to buying a canopy for your tractor. Whether it is constructed of fiberglass, plastic, metal, or cloth, all are available in a variety of sizes & mounting systems. So, what makes Thunderbird Arizona Canopies better than the rest?
Purposeful design:
Our WD4 canopy was designed exclusively for the John Deere 4000 & 5000 series ROPS tractors. Designed to with our unique "hump", which allows the ROPS to extend up into the canopy, lowering the canopy to the operator. Additionally, with nearly one foot of depth, the WD4 provides the most operator protection in the market.
Most proven:
Originally founded in 1983, we began manufacturing and supplying canopies to the aftermarket and tractor manufacturers (OEM) including Ford, New Holland, Kubota, Mahindra, CaseIH, Bobcat, AGCO and others.
Best materials used:
When you're looking for shade, fiberglass is simply the best material. Combined with an overbuilt, heavy-duty, powder coated steel mounting kit, fiberglass canopy kits are the most durable canopy kits on the market.
Why fiberglass is better than plastic for a tractor canopy:
Consider a 5, 10 or 20 year old plastic boat compared to a comparable fiberglass boat. UV energy degrades plastics, breaking down polymer bonds and weakening their strength. The breaking down of these bonds will lead to fading, cracking, and eventual failure.
Why fiberglass is better than steel for a tractor canopy:
Steel is great for some applications, but not for many. Steel canopies are restricted by the size of a sheet of steel. What good is a hat, if it is too small? Steel canopies are smaller, have shallower sides, and are often mounted on top of the ROPS. When it comes to having maximum shade, the closer to the canopy to the operator, the more shade it will provide.
Why fiberglass is the BEST material for a tractor canopy!
Fiberglass is custom molded to provide maximum shade protection. This is achieved not only through simple length vs width, but also with a crowned shape, and deep side walls. In addition, it's durability outlasts plastic or metal, and can last the life of your tractor!
